Electro-Films (EFI) / Vishay
Electro-Films, Inc. (EFI), established in 1974 in Warwick, Rhode Island, rapidly emerged as a leader in the thin film resistor technology sector. With the acquisition of Semi-Films in 1987, EFI expanded its product lineup to include a full range of chip resistors, MOS chip capacitors, and spiral chip inductors, boasting one of the most extensive product portfolios in the thin film industry.
In 2000, EFI was acquired by Vishay, a globally renowned manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components. The subsequent integration of Aeroflex MIC Technology in 2004 further enhanced Vishay EFI’s thin film capabilities.
Leveraging over four decades of experience in the thin film resistor and substrate manufacturing industry, Vishay EFI has combined its engineering expertise with innovative processing and production methods. This approach has positioned the company as a leading dedicated supplier of thin film passive components in the electronics industry, consistently at the forefront of technology and product innovation.
