Calogic
Calogic, LLC, a privately held company, was established in March 2001 to acquire certain assets of the former Calogic Corporation based in Fremont, CA, which was a subsidiary of Sipex Corporation. As part of this acquisition, Calogic retained the intellectual property and full rights to the products based on several key technologies, including Junction Field-Effect Transistor (JFET), Double-Diffused Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (DMOS), Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS), and Dielectrically Isolated technologies.
This strategic acquisition allowed Calogic to continue the development and production of these advanced semiconductor technologies, which are critical components in many electronic devices. JFETs, for instance, are used in high input impedance amplifier applications, DMOS technology is known for its high power efficiency, CMOS technology is widely used in microprocessors, microcontrollers, and other digital logic circuits due to its high noise immunity and low static power consumption, and Dielectrically Isolated technology provides increased device reliability and performance.
