The ATMEGA8515-16AUR provides the following features: 8K bytes of In-System Programmable
Flash with Read-While-Write capabilities, 512 bytes EEPROM, 512 bytes SRAM, an
External memory interface, 35 general purpose I/O lines, 32 general purpose working
registers, two flexible Timer/Counters with compare modes, Internal and External interrupts, a Serial Programmable USART, a programmable Watchdog Timer with internalOscillator, a SPI serial port, and three software selectable power saving modes. The Idle
mode stops the CPU while allowing the SRAM, Timer/Counters, SPI port, and Interrupt
system to continue functioning. The Power-down mode saves the Register contents but
freezes the Oscillator, disabling all other chip functions until the next interrupt or hardware reset. In Standby mode, the crystal/resonator Oscillator is running while the rest of
the device is sleeping. This allows very fast start-up combined with low-power
consumption.
Features
The ATMEGA8515-16AUR is equipped with a variety of connectivity options including EBI/EMI, SPI, and UART/USART, facilitating communication with a broad range of peripheral devices. It features several built-in peripherals such as Brown-out Detect/Reset, Power-on Reset (POR), Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), and a Watchdog Timer (WDT). With 35 I/O pins, it offers substantial flexibility for interfacing with other components. The microcontroller uses FLASH program memory, has an EEPROM size of 512 x 8, and a RAM size of 512 x 8. It operates at a supply voltage between 4.5V and 5.5V, and can withstand an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The device is designed for surface mount applications and comes in a 44-TQFP (10x10) package. The ATMEGA8515-16AUR also features an internal oscillator, eliminating the need for external clock sources, and is available in multiple packaging options such as Tape & Reel (TR), Cut Tape (CT), and Digi-Reel®.
